Their famous white elegance is the result of tradition: almost all Lipizzaners are born dark (black or bay) and gradually turn grey. They carry the same greying gene as humans. Less than 10% of the global population remains dark (black, bay, and occasionally chestnut). But the Lipizzaner is not just a colour — it is a symbol of tradition, classical horsemanship, and respect for the horse.
